The first thing you need to post your new Web page on our server is to call or e-mail Your Internet Services to create space for your Web page. Then, download a program called WS FTP. By clicking on the download link, you will see a screen asking you to open the program or save it to disk.

Click "Save this program to disk" and make a note of where you choose to save the the wsftp95.exe file. We recommend saving the file to your Desktop. The download will then begin and may last between a few seconds to several minutes depending on your connection speed.

Once the download is completed, locate the file wsftp95.exe on your hard drive and double-click on the file. At this point it will prompt you to unzip to folder c:/. Simply click on UnZip. The files will be unzipped to the folder c:\your\ws_ftp. Click OK and then Close. Close all windows upon completion and then click the WS Ftp to Your Inter.net icon on your desktop.

Once the program is started you will see a pop-up window (pictured below) field with the word "username" in the username field. Type your username, such as "jsmith," and type your password. (If you are unsure of your username or password, contact Your Internet Services before going any further.) Click on Connect on the left bottom part of the screen to connect to our server.

The left side of the screen displays your local machine's hard drive, and the right side displays your Web space on Yourinter.net.

Open the Web folder by double-clicking it and use the right-pointing arrow in the middle of the screen to move files from your hard drive to your Web folder on the right. Make sure you rename your first or home page to default.htm before moving it to your Web folder. Finally, open your browser and type the address of your page in the address bar. Press Enter on your keyboard, and your page should load, displaying the most recent changes you have made. If your changes are not displayed, click the Refresh button at the top of your browser.
